LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure) is a treatment for moderate to severe gum disease. It uses a dental laser to remove bacteria and promote natural healing, without cutting or stitching.
Is LANAP right for you?
This gentle approach not only targets infection but also encourages the regeneration of gum and bone tissue. Many patients find it to be a more comfortable, more convenient alternative to traditional gum surgery.
LANAP is ideal for patients with gum disease who want to avoid more invasive procedures. It is not suitable for very advanced gum disease, and costs slightly more than traditional surgery. Dr Raitchev and Dr Holloway offer this treatment, and IV sedation is available to help nervous patients feel at ease.
